This is a really nice anchorage well out of the southeast wind and swell. Close by is some of the nicest snorkeling and diving we're had in Fiji (aside from our time diving Rainbow Reef). The diving is particularly easy in only 5-10 meters with the coral is good shape (despite cyclone Winston in February 2016). As usual, the people in the local village are very friendly and we have done the servuservu ceremony with them as well as exchanged gifts. Despite their limited ability to grow vegetables for themselves they bring us eggplants, pumpkins and coconuts.

The bottom of this bay is sand/mud and is very good holding. There are lots of closer-in anchorage spots too for those with shallower drafts than ours. We also have good Digicel coverage here (Vodafone is very spotty outside of Nadi and Suva) as we've had everywhere in Fiji. See our artcle about Internet Access is Great in Fiji for more information about mobile coverage.
