This guide, although 13 years old this year, is still is the most relevant and detailed guidebook around. For the 2 months we spent in Tonga, we used this book every day to help us figure out where to go, what to do once there and really appreciated his photographs and hand-drawn charts. We saw this book on every boat we visited so others feel the same way. It's a classic, be sure to...
We used this guide for all of our travels in French Polynesia from Marquesa, Tuamotu's and the islands of Tahiti and Bora Bora. If you are going to any of these areas, this is the only guide to have (along with a good set of paper charts to supplant your electronic charts of course). The hand-drawn guides and description of each anchorage is detailed and accurate (for the places we...
We spent a number of weeks exploring the islands of the Marquesas in 2015 and found this guide to be invaluable for the detailed information and drawings Joe provides. Despite the fact that is was published in 2000, almost everything was still accurate (proving that life moves slowly in Marquesas!).

We're on our world circumnavigation and look forward to studying this guidebook in...

We have several friends who've been there and claim it has the best diving, snorkeling, kite surfing and bone fishing of anywhere in the entire Caribbean. A big claim we are off to prove personally! Look...

The classic and complete book of knots first published in 1944 and still one of the best books on knots you'll find anywhere. If you don't have this book, you are lacking in your library. So many new knots to learn, you'll never go thru them all.
