It's time to leave this comfortable part of the Caribbean in search of new places. We stayed another ten days in Antigua to host our son Eric for a well-deserved vacation from his professional life in Los Angeles working in the film industry. Now, we all agree it's time to move on and make some progress on our circumnavigation.

This is the third season we've come to Antigua and each time we look forward to our anchorage in Nonesuch Bay. It's located on the north east coast and is a fantastic place to wind-surf, scuba dive, snorkel and just hang out. The anchorage is in a sand and is located behind a coral reef so we have no swell and great breezes.

It's dark now, the sun has once again been swallowed by our planet's horizon, but as is the normal circumstance, its appearance and character, the play of light, the arrangement of clouds, the way the sun hung whole just above the sea momentarily before being magnified brilliantly by the earth's atmosphere making it look momentarily like a giant squashed lemon, and it was in fact...

We keep coming back here year after year as one of our favorite places to anchor in Antigua. It's about 3 nm west of Falmouth Harbour and well protected from easterly winds and swell. If the winds and swell are from the southeast then you need to anchor deeper into the bay.

Looking back over the past month and a half, since we left Palma de Mallorca, our life has been filled with departure delays, weather delays, an injury, separation of crew over the holidays and then maintenance delays once Feelin' Good arrived in Antigua.
