Otherwise known as The Blue Lagoon , this is the place the famous film was made in 1980 staring a very young (14 years old) Brook Shields. It was a huge hit in the USA and being here now we can imagine how remote this place was 36 years ago. It's very far from the Fiji mainland and still very beautiful.

There's a couple resorts here that we are able provision at as well as enjoy a nice dinner. Snorkeling in the area is really good and there are wonderful beaches for walking and shell collecting. Our anchorage is in 18m and the holding is in mud and sand. Lots of places to anchor closer in with shallower depths for boats with less draft. This area is very protected from swell from just about any direction and is worth coming to for a number of days.

We are off tomorrow to move further north to Sawa-I-Lau Island where there are supposed to be some amazing caves and swim-throughs. In the meantime, this is a very cool place to spend time!
