After the gale, we left Saeby, Denmark and headed south toward the Kiel Canal. We spent the night at a nice anchorage off the north shore of beautiful Samso Island before continuing on the next day toward the Kiel. A very peaceful and serene location to spend the night contrasted with the chaos in the marina in Saeby.

With light winds, we ended up motoring along between islands and along gorgeous coastlines. Nice little communities on some of them but you wonder how they handle the winter being so isolated from the mainland? At one point we crossed under the Store Balt Bridge. It had 53m clearance for our 30m master but from on deck it looked close!
