A really nice video from Southern Wind Shipyard highlighting the events at this years Southern Wind Cup held in conjunction with the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta. Located at the amazing Porto Cervo in Sardegna, the yachts compete over 4 days of racing amongst the fantastic coastline of Sardegna.

Held every two years in conjunction with the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta, the Southern Wind Cup allows all the participating Southern Wind Shipyard yachts to compete against each other for trophies. SY Feelin' Good was privileged to participate in this event and we really enjoyed the spirit of the competitors and the generosity of Southern Wind Shipyards.

Sitting at the fuel dock in Capo San Vito, Sicily. Art and captain Giamma are debating the amount of diesel to put on for the passage back to Sardinia as well as the eventual trip back to Palma di Majorca. Giamma feels two hundred liters should do the trick, but then Art remembers our pig, "Carmen says we need four hours to roast him, that's twenty-four liters of generator time"... Ah...

It's a somewhat embracing admission, but growing up in the US there is a typical vision that comes to mind when recalling the Italian restaurants we frequented on family outings: dark wood paneling, raffia covered wine bottles as candle holders, and tables draped in red and white checkered cloth..ah yes, you know the one. Coast to coast, across the nation named for a Florentine...

What a privilege to be part of this magnificent regatta competing with 18 other spectacular yachts. Hosted in Porto Cervo, Sardinia (Italy) every June this regatta kicks off the summer sailing and racing season in the Mediterranean. The weather and winds are usually perfect and this year was no different. All four race days were started and everyone had a great time out on the water.
