A really nice video from Southern Wind Shipyard highlighting the events at this years Southern Wind Cup held in conjunction with the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta. Located at the amazing Porto Cervo in Sardegna, the yachts compete over 4 days of racing amongst the fantastic coastline of Sardegna.

Held every two years in conjunction with the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta, the Southern Wind Cup allows all the participating Southern Wind Shipyard yachts to compete against each other for trophies. SY Feelin' Good was privileged to participate in this event and we really enjoyed the spirit of the competitors and the generosity of Southern Wind Shipyards.

What a privilege to be part of this magnificent regatta competing with 18 other spectacular yachts. Hosted in Porto Cervo, Sardinia (Italy) every June this regatta kicks off the summer sailing and racing season in the Mediterranean. The weather and winds are usually perfect and this year was no different. All four race days were started and everyone had a great time out on the water.

A wonderful day sail with friends on a beautiful Southern Wind 100RS, Cape Arrow. We sailed from Genoa to La Spezia, Italia. It's March so the weather was a little cool but sunny and the snow on the mountains made this into a very special, picture-postcard day. It was my first time sailing on such a yacht and it was amazing how light the helm was and how fast were were going.

Well, we planned to make it further around the corner today to Deep Bay up by St. John's but when we saw the big boats out racing again we just had to stop and enjoy them one more time. The sail from Nonsuch Bay was a little rough (3m seas and 20-25kts of wind) and we were in a broad reach most of the way with the big swells going under the boat. While leaving Falmouth Harbour, Antigua to go anchor out for a few days in Nonsuch Bay, we were surprised to see all the Classic Superyachts that we'd been ogling in the harbour out for the day to practice for the Antigua Superyacht Challenge. What amazing luck to see all these huge classic yachts in full sail roaring back and forth just outside the harbour. Fantastic!!
