We've found a number of nice anchorages here in Bora Bora and this one is one of our favorites. It's close to a really nice beach restaurant (Bloody Mary's Bar) as well as to our favorite diving and snorkeling area. We've got good holding and nice wind to keep us cool for sleeping at night.

A narrow entrance in 6 meters of water. Good thing we arrived at slack tide so we had a fairly effortless entry to this small bay. We're surrounded by beautiful reef and turquoise water filled with coral bommies ready for exploration. Soon after arrival, a 1.5m white tip shark cruised by to check us out. Later, on our first snorkel Tracy found his big brother, a 3m black tip shark...

On the southwestern side of Sardegna and we find another beautiful bay with turquoise clear water and the perfect temperature for swimming. Anchored in 16.4 meters we are moderately protected from the southeasterly winds gusting to 20 kts and very little swell.

After an 18 hour crossing from Capo San Vito, Sicily we arrived at an incredible part of Sardegna. Located at the southeastern corner of this amazing island is a fabulous anchorage. We are in 7.7 meters of crystal clear and warm (26.5C) water without any swell. The area is known as Capo Carbonara and we are anchored in the bay of Porto Giunco.
