This map represents our entire voyage around the world starting in December of 2014 and ending up back in the Mediterranean at the end of May 2019. The statistics show we traveled almost 35,000 nm and you can see by the path on the map that we zigged around quite a bit particularly in the Pacific (what an amazing place!).

In January we were in New Zealand doing our off-season maintenance during the Pacific cyclone season (in the southern hemisphere it runs from November 1 to May 1). We used to do what most people of the world do; live in a home in a community enjoying the infrastructure and accoutrements of being closely connected to ‘normal’ society. However, since we took up sailing and decided to live full-time onboard a sailboat our view of what ‘normal’ is has changed a bit.

Ready to make the final passage of this sailing season from New Caledonia to Brisbane where we'll hold up for the cyclone season and do our annual repairs and maintenance. We had a terrific time in New Caledonia although, just like Vanuatu, it was too short.

After a brief stay in Vanuatu, we're off to New Caledonia. We've asked for permission to stop in the Loyalty Islands (half-way between Vanuatu and NC) for a few days and the powers-to-be in NC and France gave their blessing so we get a nice rest stop!

After 3.5 months in wonderful Fiji we're off today for Port Vila in Vanuatu. If you haven't had a chance to look at our videos, photos galleries and articles about our experiences here you should. This is one of the nicest places we've been for all water sports activities (diving, snorkeling, swimming, beaches, etc. Put Fiji on your list to come visit one day.

Our last scuba trip in Fiji was so many years ago, we were wondering if it was still going to be as beautiful as we remembered: we have not been disappointed! Even after the devastating Cyclone Wilson hit the islands last season, we've been so pleased to find wonderful places to dive and snorkel.

After six months of enjoying all New Zealand has to offer (and it’s amazing how wonderful this country is!) we are more than ready to leave. Tracy wrote an article about our experience here. New Zealand will always have a warm spot in our hearts as we met so many wonderful people here, so enjoyed touring around and seeing the specular scenery and loved the food, wine and cheese....
