Loro Piana 2012 onboard 'Kiboko'

Published by Tracy on

Onboard ‘Kiboko’, a Southern Wind Shipyard 94RS performance cruising yacht participating in the Loro Piana 2012 Superyacht Regatta in Porto Cervo, Sardinia. A life alterning experience if ever there was. If you ever get an invitation to be ‘ballast’ for a regatta, don’t pass it up! Being on the water surrounded by Maxi Yachts competing in a race is something not to miss if given the opportunity and Porto Cervo is a spectacular place to do it in.

Aboard the Hallberg-Rassy 54 Feelin’ Good, four friends face the Atlantic for the return journey from the Caribbean to the Azores and then on to the Mediterranean. A wonderful 3’400 nm journey over three weeks starting in Falmouth Harbour, Antigua stopping in Horta, Azores and continuing onto Estepona, Spain. The video shows how well the HR-54 sails and how capable it is to cross oceans.

Day Sailin' on Cape Arrow

Published by Tracy on

A wonderful day sail with friends on a beautiful Southern Wind 100RS, Cape Arrow. We sailed from Genoa to La Spezia, Italia. It was March so the weather was a little cool but sunny and the snow on the mountains made this into a very special, picture-postcard day. It was my first time sailing on such a yacht and it was amazing how light the helm was and how fast were were going.

Hallberg-Rassy (HR-54) Feelin’ Good cruising the Caribbean over the winter of 2012. This passage was from Nevis (St. Kitt’s and Nevis) to Statia (St. Eustatius) with cool underwater footage under sail (thanks Sean)! More videos to come as we learn how to use the HD Hero2 camera system.

HR-54 Feelin' Good Atlantic Crossing 2011

Aboard the Hallberg-Rassy 54 Feelin’ Good, Art, Sean, Roland and Gustavo face the Atlantic during the ARC Atlantic Rally for Cruisers November 2011. It was an incredible experience to be so far offshore with good winds, clear blue skies and dolphins dancing around the yacht. We ate well and worked as a team for the 15 days and 15 hours it took to make the passage.

HR-54 Feelin' Good Maiden Voyage

Published by Tracy on

S/Y Feelin’ Good made her maiden voyage from Ellos, Sweden to Sotogrande, Spain starting in July of 2011 and traveling 2800 nm in about three months. This passage was a wonderful adventure for Art and Sean especially when Tracy joined us in Southampton, UK. Along the way we enjoyed the fabulous coastlines of Northern Europe, put up with countless gales and learned all about what a Hallberg-Rassy yacht can do (yes, they are as great as everyone says!).
