This was our last overnight stop before arriving in Palma on our long passage from Finland started back at the end of June. What an adventure and what a great time sharing the passages with so many friends. This stopover is (usually!) a peaceful place to spend a night or two however we arrived in big winds and sea state. Luckily once we got inside the anchoring location the sea state dropped off to nothing but we still had a lot of wind bouncing off the hills.
The next morning the sea state outside was about 3 meters and the winds were about 15 kts or so. We put a reef in the main and used the full jib which gave us a pretty good heel angle but a controllable steering situation. We 'flew' all the way to Palma this last 60 nm and it was a glorious finish to an incredible trip.
"We look forward to your comments on this Anchorage!"
