This video is about the beginning of our world circumnavigation starting in Palma de Mallorca in December of 2014. We stopped over in Gibraltar for fuel before doing the passage to Puerto Calero, Lanzarote in the Canary Islands. Our sailing was fast and wonderful with about 5 days total time for the 1,100 nm passage.

Tomorrow we begin our circumnavigation of the world (wow! did I really just type that??). As with any large undertaking, you have to break it up into smaller pieces. Our first 'piece' is the passage from the island of Mallorca, Spain to the island of Lanzarote in the Canary Islands. The distance is about 1,100 nm and should take us about 6 days to complete.

We're ready to begin our passage across the Atlantic to the Caribbean tomorrow. The crew and boat are ready and we have so many provisions, we could go across and back again! We wanted to have all our favorite items onboard from Europe from the winter season as it's difficult to find what we want in the supermarkets of the islands.
