Anchorage at La Maddelena, Italy

This anchorage is called 'Piscina di Santa Maria' and is considered one of the best in the La Maddelena archipelago. We arrived this in early May and we were rewarded by being one of only three yachts anchored overnight. In August, there would be over one hundred yachts in this location! As the La Maddelena archipelago is Luca's hometown, he took us to all the cool places on all the islands as well as to his favorite Gelato shop (Gelateria La Finestrella) and for a 'Forest Burger' at Paninoteca .i Mille on the adjacent Isola di Caprera.

However, this anchorage was one of the highlights!
