Feelin' Good Summer in the Mediterranean 2026
What a summer! We started out from Scarlino, Italy in early May and our first stop was to Isola d'Elba and its wonderful anchorages. In any wind condition you can always find a place to safely anchor. From Elba we sailed over to Corsica. It was our first time there and we really loved the north of Corsica and cruised the island in rental cars and motorcycles.
Then, onto the La Maddelena archipelago of northern Sardegna which was stunning with its clear water and lack of other yachts (there's a good reason to start out in early May!). We visited with Luca^s parents and enjoying sailing all around the islands.
Next it was off to Olbia which we haven't visited in over 14 years, how it has grown! It is a big city now with fancy marinas, great restaurants and shopping. After getting some work done and shopping for provisions we cruised down the eastern coast of Sardegna and found some of the best anchorages we've been to. Warm, clear water along with incredible cliffs. It was so beautiful and the water warmed up in June so we could really enjoy the swimming.
At the end of June, we met up with Andrea (our captain from Feelin' Good SWS 82 RS) and Naty in Cagliari (the capital of Sardegna) and spent a number of days cruising south Sardegna with them before we did a big passage over to the Isola d'Egadi off the west coast of Sicilia. The islands were nice but, we were anxious to get back to the Isole Eolie of Lipari, Panarea and Stromboli as we consider them one of our favorite locations in the Mediterranean.
We spent weeks on all the Isole Eolie and visited the small villages on each island. Finally we had to begin our passage back up to northern Italia stopping at Isola di Ponza and then onto the Argentario peninsula. Finally we stopped once again at Isola d'Elba before heading to Marina Cala di Medici where we spent August avoiding the crowds and crazies. Luca (our wonderful captain) and Elena (our amazing chef) stayed with Feelin' Good while Tracy and I headed home to enjoy a bit of the summer in the Alps.
Stand by for the next video as we return to the yacht and sail to Port Cervo to participate in the Nautor Swan Cup where we will help them celebrate their 60th anniversary with a regatta and parties!
