We arrived at a very lovely, protected anchorage after a big day of sailing and motoring through the Stockholm Archipelago where we saw boats of every type and size. It was a Saturday, sunny and warm so every Swede just had to get out on the water. We needed a good nights rest to prepare us for a big sail tomorrow further south on the Baltic to the island of Gotland where we plan to get a berth at the Visby marina for a few days. Another tight entrance to maneuver through that opens up to a beautiful bay where 3-4 other yachts are anchored. At the entrance to the bay and inside are lots of white swans that contrast with the green and lush shoreline where some BBQ are pits located with tables for those staying longer than we were. This island was a Nature Reserve and has all kinds of trails and facilities. I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy!
